Introduction to Gouache - Loose Objects

Join Kat for a three hour introduction to Gouache, a water based opaque paint, where we will discover its magic through painting objects & still life.

Please feel free to bring your own item to paint! Try not to overthink this, sometimes a simple object can make a really interesting painting. This object you bring is your own responsibility.

We will be covering the basics of Gouache (pronounced GWOSH) through fundamental exercises, cover the basics of colour mixing with a primary palette, look at loose drawing of our objects, and combine that to create a painted object or still life setting.

This class is perfect for beginners, with a fun casual approach to painting. No pressure to create masterpieces, just to enjoy the process.

Parking in the surrounding streets should be free (always check signage!) or weekend parking in the Nicholas Street Precinct is also free.
