Loose Mark-Making for Expressive Drawing

Join Kat for 2 hours of creative play with no pressure to finish with masterpieces! We will be experimenting with different media & the marks we can make to transform them into loose drawings of stuff & things!

All materials supplied

Please feel free to bring along an object you'd like to draw. Don't overthink this - it can be as simple as the lip balm from your handbag or your wallet/glasses/waterbottle etc.

No experience required, just a willingness to observe, loose up, and leave doubt at the door.

You will leave this class with a collection of drawings that may, or may not, resemble real life. Kats philosophy is 'Cameras can create copies, fine art captures essence & emotion'

Presented as fast paced exercises with lots of experiment time, we will be looking at objects, still life, and silly portraits.

Parking on surrounding streets should be free after 5pm (always double check signage) or Nicholas Street Precinct parking, a short walk down the mall, is free after 5pm.
