WaterFest at Queens Park Environmental Education Centre

Join us across March and April at Queens Park Environmental Education Centre to celebrate WaterFest.

Visit in Centre to learn more about your local waterways:

  • Watch "Back from the Brink" documentaries on our big screen to learn all about platypus and lungfish.

  • Get your craft on and make your own recycled paper platypus to take home.

  • Complete our larger-than-life lungfish puzzle designed by local artist Eva Fritz.

  • Attend our FREE school holiday workshop and make your own terrarium (specific days and times - booking required).

  • Meet the creatures of your local creeks in our FREE animal shows hosted by Wild Rangers (specific days and times - bookings required).

  • Speak to our team about how you can get involved in other events in support of Ipswich's waterways across March-May and beyond.

No tickets are required to visit the Queens Park Environmental Education Centre. You’re welcome to drop in anytime during our opening hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 9am–2pm (closed Public Holidays).

Please note:

Other Waterfest workshops and shows DO require bookings, as noted above. Be sure to check each event’s page for ticketing details.
