Trees for Mum

Enjoy a family-friendly morning while helping to restore the banks of Woogaroo Creek in this important waterway corridor.

This Mother's Day plant a tree in honour of that special mother figure in your life. You will help create an environmental legacy for future generations.

Every mother or carer registered will receive a complimentary gift and treat to enjoy at the planting.

This event is delivered in partnership with Conservation Volunteers Australia and Ipswich City Council, through the Urban Shade Forest initiative.

These plantings will:

• reduce bank erosion

• improve water quality

• increase native habitat

• help to grow a cooler and greener Ipswich.

Additional Activities:

Learn and connect - meet local environmental groups and organisations and hear about the projects they are working on to improve river health.

Coffee Van - Each mother/carer registered will receive a complimentary coffee. Sign in from 9am on the day.

Please note:

The planting activity includes loose and sloping surfaces and is near open waters. The activity requires a reasonable level of fitness and balance. Children must be supervised at all times.

Please bring a hat, a water bottle and wear enclosed shoes.
